One day, when they were camping in one of their favourite wild places, Kruger National Park, Esther Keats came up with the idea of writing books about nature for children. Derek had co-authored three children’s books many years ago, when they lived in Fiji, so it did not seem so far-fetched. Thus Kenga Publishing was born, as a vehicle for them to write and publish nature books for children based on their experience.
